Adobe Marketing Cloud Meetup at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business a great success

Last night we were hosted by Concordia University as they shared their successful story of transformation and collaboration that brought 300 independent websites into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Philippe Beauregard, Chief Communications Officer, kicked off the evening by speaking about digital transformation at the university, and about the importance of unifying the university's brand and voice by putting the user (new and current students, faculty members, staff members, alumni, etc.) at the center of the web redesign. He underscored the value of co-sponsoring a project of such radical transformation between business and technology units.

Colin Robertson, Senior Advisor, Change and Engagement, continued the discussion by speaking to the challenges of undertaking a project of this magnitude. He offered advice on how to best implement change management to ensure success. He stated that risks and problems (valleys of death) are inevitable in any project, and the importance of overcoming them by working as a team.

Thirdly, Andrei Kalamkarov, UX Designer, described the structure of the AEM install at the University.  He focused on how to best serve hundreds of authors, provide them simple tools that maximize productivity, and creativity, all the while fostering teamwork.

Following the formal presentation, a panel composed of various Concordia team members, and including INM's Director of Operations, Nadine Husain, discussed the various facets that must come together in a digital platform, from the experience of authors having to produce high velocity content to SEO and Analytics, and to the infrastructure needed to run the platform optimally.

In essence, Concordia University’s success is due to a combination of great vision, successful implementation, teamwork and a solid foundation using best-in-class technology.
